PPF Calculator — Public Provident Fund Maturity Estimator
The Public Provident Fund (PPF) is one of the most tax-efficient investment options available to Indian citizens. Our PPF calculator estimates your corpus at maturity (15 years) based on your annual contribution and the current interest rate of 7.1% p.a. (Q1 FY2026-27). PPF enjoys EEE (Exempt-Exempt-Exempt) tax status — meaning your contribution (up to ₹1.5 lakh/year), the interest earned, and the maturity amount are all completely tax-free.
Investing ₹1.5 lakh per year (the maximum) in PPF for 15 years at 7.1% gives a corpus of approximately ₹40.7 lakh — of which ₹22.5 lakh is your investment and ₹18.2 lakh is tax-free interest. After 15 years, you can extend the account in blocks of 5 years with or without fresh contributions, continuing to earn tax-free interest on the accumulated balance.
PPF is particularly valuable for self-employed individuals and small business owners who do not have EPF coverage. It also cannot be attached by creditors (except under income tax and estate duty orders), making it a secure savings vehicle. Use our PPF maturity calculator to plan how much to invest annually to reach your retirement goal.
